The CTA operates 24 hours each day and on an average weekday provides 1.7 million rides on buses and trains. The CTA provided a total of 532 million rides in 2011, a 3 percent increase over 2010 with ridership rising to levels not seen for 20 years. The Chicago Transit Authority provides service in Chicago and 10 surrounding suburbs. Today, the CTA is one of the three service boards financially supported by the Regional Transportation Authority and CTA service connects with the commuter rail Metra, and suburban bus and paratransit service, Pace. Hertz, resulting in a fully unified system. In 1952, CTA purchased the assets of the Chicago Motor Coach Company, which was under the control of Yellow Cab Company founder John D. The CTA is an Illinois independent governmental agency that started operations on October 1, 1947, upon the purchase and combination of the transportation assets of the Chicago Rapid Transit Company and the Chicago Surface Lines streetcar system. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 243,538,700, or about 800,600 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2022. But that may be beyond our capabilities, but as fast as the computer world is progressing anything seems possible.Diesel, Diesel-electric hybrid, Electric-Drive Motor/Battery It would be cool if a an actual roster could be developed that way through automation and not have to be constantly updated. When the bus reappears like it was in the shop it will lose it's asterisk or reappear on the list. That process seems to work well for me in developing a roster if I don't have the actual roster, which I don't always have. If I could make a suggestion, maybe program in a way that a bus can be kicked out or placed with an asterisk after a month of not being in service. If so, that would be helpful to me, because then I wouldn't have to track fleets of buses for months on end. So you are saying that the database saves bus assignments for each day. I have added an archive of previous route assignments (the archive only started saving this morning, so it's not that useful yet, but I would appreciate suggestions on how to make the interface more usable.
